Virgil Van Dijk has traveled to London with the Liverpool squad ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Chelsea. The CB has been suffering with bruised ribs and was rested for the midweek game which saw Cheslea beat Liverpool 2-1 in the Carabao cup but early Saturday morning a last minute decision will be made on whether the player will feature this time out. Van Dijk would be a massive plus for LFC if he is passed fit for this game and if he does miss the match then some would say Liverpool will lack the leadership he brings at the back. Liverpool will have their first team back and will field a very strong team this time out and will be hoping the CB will be available and the player himself has put a message on his personal Instagram saying ” Focused and looking forward to the big game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tomorrow” This could be a huge hint from the player that he feels ready for the match and does not want to miss out on such a big game. The player didn’t feature in full training on Friday and worked away from the squad as he still is feeling discomfort, so would it be wise to risk him if there is still an ongoing problem? The race against time is well and truly on but we all know one of Van Dijk many qualities is his pace!
